Nutrition & Wellness for Families
Not only do we offer a nutrition menu for your students, in partnership with DPSS CalFresh, we offer nutrition classes for families and produce distributions!

Lawndale is keeping the momentum going! Smith Elementary was named a California Blue Ribbon School, Addams, Anderson, Smith, and Twain were all named 2025 Honor Roll Schools by the Educational Results Partnership, and we are proud to celebrate our very own District Social Worker, Dr. Maria Ruelas, who was recognized as the Los Angeles County Office of Education Social Worker of the Year!

ESMoA is partnering with LESD libraries for STARTlab, a hands-on program celebrating literacy, storytelling, and creativity. Each month, students explore themed art activities, from Dot Day to Día de los Muertos. Families are also invited to enjoy ESMoA’s free, family-friendly exhibits and events.

Lawndale’s first Active Parenting workshops gave families practical tools to strengthen communication, build positive relationships, and support children’s social and emotional growth.
